Multicamera Studio Production

I served as the Director for our multicamera studio production examination, where we were tasked with producing both an interview segment and a live demonstration. With only about three hours for pre-production and production, the project challenged me to make quick creative decisions, coordinate the crew effectively, and maintain a clear vision under time pressure. This experience strengthened my leadership skills and my ability to manage a fast-paced, professional studio environment.

I was appointed Showcaller/Lecturer for a full-class production involving all 20 students. In this role, my lecturer entrusted me to lead the entire production, coordinating multiple teams and ensuring smooth execution. This experience tested and strengthened my leadership, decision-making, and ability to manage a large, fast-paced studio environment responsibly.

I worked as a camera operator for a multicamera studio production skit about a character receiving a phone call, taking down important information, and leaving the scene. As a team, we used various camera techniques—including dolly movement, tilts, and pans—to make the skit more dynamic and engaging. This project strengthened my technical camera skills and my ability to collaborate smoothly in a live studio setup.

I performed as on-screen talent in a studio production based on the Street Fighter game, following the director’s instructions and maintaining proper on-camera etiquette. Additionally, I designed some of the computer-generated elements using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, contributing to the visual style and overall production quality.

In the early stages of learning multicamera studio production, I took on the role of Floor Manager for a mini studio project. This behind-the-scenes video highlights my responsibilities, including coordinating on-set communication, managing talent movement, and ensuring cues were executed smoothly. Throughout the module, I gained hands-on experience in various studio roles, and this project helped me strengthen my confidence and competence as a Floor Manager while broadening my overall understanding of multicamera production.
