I participated in a CNB filmmaking competition where my team and I created a short film promoting a drug-free Singapore and raising awareness about the risks of drug misuse. Together, we handled the full production process—from pre-production planning to filming on set. The version included in my portfolio is the cut that I personally edited, showcasing my storytelling, pacing, and post-production skills.

This is a 30sec Trailer I created for the Drug Film Competition.

My team and I produced a documentary titled Menace in the Canteen, focusing on how birds can become a nuisance to people dining in public spaces. Throughout the project, we applied a range of production skills, including research, interviewing, scripting, cinematography, and editing. This documentary allowed us to combine storytelling with observational reporting, creating an engaging and informative piece based on a real everyday issue.

I participated in the SPF TikTok Competition by creating a short film titled The Double Life. The story follows a scammer who pretends to be a kind, struggling individual to deceive friends for money, eventually facing the consequences of his actions. Told from the scammer’s point of view, the film offers a unique perspective on scam behaviour while raising awareness among youths. This project allowed me to craft meaningful short-form content designed specifically for social media audiences.

In the early stages of my filmmaking journey, my partner and I created Karma, a short film filmed entirely in one room without any dialogue or voiceover. We focused on visual storytelling to convey the story of a cyberbully who eventually faces the consequences of his actions when a mysterious figure confronts him. This project strengthened my ability to build tension, mood, and narrative using only visuals while working within strict creative limits.
